“If we don’t tell them it’s sustainable chemistry, they won’t know”

I stumbled upon this interesting article about a company and their sustainable chemistry and I had to share.  MLSE is also a sustainable alternative to many of the toxic and polluting finishing chemistries out there.  And since MTIX is in that space, we like to follow and applaud others that are making waves and creating a path forward in the area of sustainable textiles as well.

Beyond Surface Technologies was mentioned recently in an article posted on Chemsec Marketplace website.  My two favorite section of that article are…

“For us, performance comes first. Our products look and feel the same and run on the same machines under the same conditions as traditional textile chemicals. If we didn’t tell our buyers it’s sustainable chemistry, they wouldn’t know”, Matthias Foessel says.

Beyond Surface Technologies has harnessed the potential of sustainable chemistry to create alternative materials made from plant seed oil instead of common place synthetic crude oil-based textile chemicals.
